Jersey Bulls stretched their unbeaten record in Combined Counties Premier South to 20 games as they beat Spelthorne Sports 6-0 at Springfield.

The islanders - who lost for the first time since manager Elliott Powell took over in the summer last week in the FA Vase - impressed in their final home game of 2024.

Having seen Rai Dos Santos hit the bar with a 25th-minute free-kick, Bulls opened the scoring just before the half-time break as Luke Campbell found the net.

The centre-half doubled the lead five minutes into the second period when he headed in his fifth goal of the season.

Joe Kilshaw continued his rich vein of form with his fourth goal in as many games to make it 3-0 six minutes later.

Francis Lekimamati got a fourth with a calm finish after 69 minutes, before Luke Watson's curling effort made it 5-0 two minutes later and Kieran Lester's close-range effort wrapped the game up with 10 minutes to go.

The win - the fifth time the Bulls have scored six or more goals in a game this season - consolidated third place in the league with games in hand on the sides above them.

"I think it was important for us to bounce back as quickly as we could," Powell told BBC Radio Jersey.

"We were disappointed with that first half, we didn't move the ball quick enough.

"I thought second half we were much better, much more on the front foot, much more attacking and we asked questions of Spelthorne, so I'm really happy with that.

"When we've got Luke in the team it gives us a threat from set pieces, and against a team that are going to sit in like Spelthorne it was important that we had someone to break it down and Luke pops up with big moments a lot of the time."
