Wright joins Wigan as McManaman signs new deal

Wigan Athletic have signed Plymouth Argyle midfielder Callum Wright on a season-long loan deal, while winger Callum McManaman has signed a new one-year contract.
Wright made 40 appearances in all competitions for the Pilgrims in the 2024-25 season.
The 25-year-old, who is the Latics' fifth summer signing, could make his competitive debut in their League One season opener against Northampton Town on Saturday, 2 August.
Meanwhile, McManaman, 34, said he was "over the moon", external to extend his stay with the Latics.
The veteran came through the club's academy and made his professional debut for them in a 1-0 win over Portsmouth in May 2009.
He was man of the match as they shocked Manchester City in the FA Cup final in 2013 and is now in his third spell with the club.
"This football club is my home, and it's always a special moment every time I pull on a Wigan Athletic shirt," he told the club website.
"I'm proud to have already played over 200 games for the club, and I am looking forward to adding to that figure over the next 12 months."
