Middlesbrough defender George Edmundson is set to miss up to six weeks with a hamstring injury.
He picked it up in the first few minutes of Boro's goalless draw with Stoke City on Tuesday.
"It looks like it could be around five to six weeks for George," said head coach Rob Edwards.
Edmundson had started the last three games, having been an unused substitute in the previous four.
With that timescale, the 28-year-old will face a battle to be fit before the next international break in November.
