Burnley have offered new deals to striker Jay Rodriguez and left-back Charlie Taylor after their relegation to the Championship.

The Clarets, who finished second bottom, had already announced that midfielders Jack Cork and Johann Berg Gudmundsson will be leaving the club this summer upon the expiry of their contracts.

Loan deals for defender Maxime Esteve and forward Mike Tresor have been made permanent for a reported total of £24m, external.

Meanwhile, the one-year options on the contracts of midfielder Josh Brownhill and goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell have been activated.

The club are in talks to make loan deals for full-back Lorenz Assignon and winger Jacob Bruun Larsen into permanent moves, while striker David Datro Fofana returns to Chelsea after joining temporarily in January.

Meanwhile, there could be further upheaval at the club after manager Vincent Kompany emerged as a surprise name on Bayern Munich's list of potential candidates to become their new head coach.
