Blackpool have re-signed Josh Bowler after he left Premier League side Nottingham Forest as well as winger Scott Banks from Bundesliga side FC St Pauli on a season-long loan.

Bowler, 26, returns having left Forest earlier on Monday and signs a two-year deal with the option of a further 12 months.

Having joined in 2021, Bowler scored 12 goals in 61 appearances before joining Forest in 2022 and briefly returned to the Tangerines on loan in 2023.

Banks, 23, came through Dundee United's academy and went on to join Crystal Palace before spending time on loan with Alloa Athletic, Dunfermline Athletic and Bradford City.

He later went to St Pauli on loan and joined them on a permanent deal in summer 2024 and has made a total of 12 Bundesliga appearances for the club.

"This is a huge opportunity for me and after a great time out in Germany where I played at some huge stadiums, I feel prepared for what's to come here at Blackpool," he said., external

"The connection I felt to the club and the supporters during my previous times here is something I have never experienced before. This is a special football club and we need to get it back to where it belongs," Bowler added.
