Lincoln City midfielder Jack Moylan will be out of action for up to three months following surgery on his ankle.

The 23-year-old suffered the injury during his side's 3-1 win at Harrogate Town in the EFL Cup on 12 August.

The club say, however, it is not the same ankle he injured last season, when he was sidelined from January to April.

Moylan joined the Imps from League of Ireland Premier Division club Shelbourne in January 2024 and has made 57 appearances for the club, scoring 10 goals.

"It's a similar injury to the one he had last season but he's already on the mend and back in the building on crutches," said boss Michael Skubala.

Lincoln are away to Burton Albion in the second round of the EFL Cup on Tuesday evening.
