Goal, red card - Joao Pedro's 96 seconds of mayhem

Hull City striker Joao Pedro had a brief but very eventful afternoon of Championship action against Bristol City.
The 32-year-old played a key role in the Tigers' dominant start at Ashton Gate, and deservedly put them ahead on 13 minutes.
But his joy was short-lived...

Pedro slides Hull ahead with a divine turn and finish - his first goal in 11 games

The Brazilian-born attacker savours his sixth goal of the season

Pedro's flash of genius was admired and enjoyed by his team-mates - but not so much by Bristol City's defenders

But Pedro's (no 12) elation quickly evaporates, referee James Linington pointing the striker in the direction of the Ashton Gate changing rooms after a lunging tackle on George Tanner

Tigers boss Ruben Selles would not comment on Pedro's red card, but looked far from happy with his striker, who will now miss three games. However, the Spaniard did say, in his post-match interview with BBC Radio Humberside, that Pedro was telling him it was not even a foul

Anis Mehmeti's second-half penalty levelled the scores against the Tigers' 10 men, but the Robins were unable to find a way past Hull's spirited defence and grab a second, meaning Pedro's contribution before his dismissal was enough for a point
