Charlton Athletic have signed Luton Town defender Reece Burke for an undisclosed fee.
The 28-year-old centre-back has agreed a two-year deal, with the newly-promoted Championship club holding an option to extend his terms by an extra 12 months.
He is the fifth player to move the The Valley this summer and the third to join from manager Nathan Jones' former club.
"I've worked with Nathan before, it felt like we had a good connection - I felt he brought the best out of me. I know what sort of team he can build and that environment is something I want to be a part of," Burke told the club website., external
Burke began his career in the West Ham academy system and played five Premier League games for the Hammers at the end of the 2014-15 season.
Having had loan spells at Bradford City, Wigan Athletic and Bolton Wanderers, he moved to Hull City on a permanent deal in the summer of 2018, playing 110 times before a move to Luton in 2021.
He helped the Hatters win promotion to the Premier League in 2023 and made a further 22 top flight appearances.
"We're really pleased to bring Reece in - he's a wonderful defender and a really good character," Jones said.
"He comes to us with plenty of Premier League and Championship experience and will really add to the group."
