Rangers thrashed Partick Thistle 6-0 to move top of the SWPL on goal difference as four teams go into the international break on 51 points.
Both Rangers and Hibernian won to capitalise on dropped points by last week's leaders Glasgow City, who drew at home to Celtic on Friday.
Mia McAulay, Rio Hardy and Demi-Lee Falconer's own goal had Rangers three up at the break against hosts Thistle. Kathy Hill, Kirsty Howat and Camille Lafaix added late goals.
Rosie Livingstone volleyed Hibs in front just before half-time away to Montrose and Kathleen McGovern's late header wrapped up the 2-0 win.
Rangers, Glasgow City, Celtic and Hibs are six points above Hearts, who humbled Queen's Park 6-0 with doubles from Kayla Jardine and Sade Adamolekun plus goals from Ashleigh Williams and Georgia Timms.
Motherwell clinched a top-six place with a game to spare before the split as they beat Aberdeen 4-2.
Rachel Todd gave Motherwell an early lead but Toni Leigh Finnegan equalised and then put the Dons in front in first-half added time.
The match turned again during a six-minute period in the second half as Aberdeen had Niamh Noble sent off in the 64th minute, just before Bailley Collins and Eilidh Austin scored for the hosts. Louisa Boyes added a fourth for Well in added time.
Aimee Anderson scored a hat-trick as Spartans moved six points clear of the relegation zone with a 6-1 rout of bottom club Dundee United, whose reply came from Alix Moodie.
Zara Andrews, Robyn McCafferty and Mya Christie were also on target for the hosts.
The SWPL goes on hiatus until 2 March and will split after that round of fixtures.
