Lionesses outclass Gwalia 4-0 in Women's FA Cup

Second division team London City Lionesses defeated a hard-working third tier Gwalia United side to ensure a place in the fourth round of the Adobe Women's FA Cup.
The hosts were ahead after 25 minutes, when FA Women's Championship top scorer Isobel Goodwin netted her eighth of the season as she headed home from a corner.
Gwalia tried to withstand the oncoming Lionesses pressure, but it was too much as former Everton and Aston Villa forward Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah doubled the lead in the 40th minute with an amazing curling effort from outside the box.
Goalkeeper Laura O'Sullivan-Jones would keep Gwalia in the game until Lionesses' China midfielder Shen Mengyu grabbed the first goal of the second half with 10 minutes left on the clock.
In the 90th minute Lionesses added the final nail into the coffin when Serbia striker Miljana Ivanovic's shot found the back of the net.
The visitors managed to go toe to toe with the home side at times, but their international quality players were too much for the Welsh side.
The Lionesses can now look forward to the fourth-round draw when the 12 Women's Super League teams are introduced, with the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal potential opponents.
