Paul Wotton says his National League South manager of the month award is testament to the hard work of everyone at Torquay United.

The Gulls were unbeaten in seven league games in November, winning three of them, and are currently a point off the top of the table after 20 games.

It is Wotton's first such award since being appointed as Torquay manager in the summer.

"I think it's recognition for the club's hard work," Wotton told BBC Radio Devon.

"My staff work hard, the ground staff work hard, the administration side work hard, it's a real team effort.

"I get a little bit embarrassed really, but it's a team effort, so it's lovely.

"It was a long month - we had to work hard and we had some good results.

"There were some good moments and some not so good moments, so all in all it was a good month for us, but that's all it was, a good month."
