Harrogate sign Brighton left-back Slater on loan

Jacob Slater is yet to make a senior appearance for Brighton but has turned out five times for their under-21 side in the EFL Trophy

Harrogate Town have signed left-back Jacob Slater on a loan deal from Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion.

The 20-year-old joins the League Two side on a deal until January.

Slater began his career with Preston and made three senior appearances before joining Brighton in summer 2023.

"Jacob's an energetic, dynamic full-back, covers ground well, he's a fit lad who looks to get forward and join in attacks." Harrogate head of player recruitment Lloyd Kerry said.

"We're delighted to add him to the squad and give him the opportunity to gain valuable experience in his development."
