Robbie Cundy played 31 games for Barnsley in 2022-23 but none last season

League Two side Notts County have signed free agents Robbie Cundy and Jack Hinchy.

Defender Cundy, 27, has joined on a one-year deal after he was released by Barnsley after not making a single appearance for the League One club last season because of injury problems.

Midfielder Hinchy has joined the Magpies on a two-year contract having left Brighton at the end of his contract earlier in the summer.

The 21-year-old, who had a loan spell at Shrewsbury last season, made just two senior appearance for Brighton after joining them from Stockport in the summer of 2021.

Notts have now made nine summer signings, with Matty Platt, Jacob Bedeau, Alex Bass, Nick Tsaroulla, Rod McDonald, Curtis Edwards and Kellan Gordon all moving to Meadow Lane in recent months.

The Magpies will start the new League Two season with a trip to Tranmere Rovers on 10 August.
