Grimsby Town midfielder Kieran Green has agreed a new two-year contract that will keep him at the League Two club until 2027.

The 27-year-old joined the Mariners from Halifax Town in July 2022 and has since made 86 appearances, scoring five goals.

"I’ve had a few lengthy conversations with the gaffer and he’s seen something in me and has wanted me to play higher up, more as a number eight and it’s a role I’m trying to embrace and I’m really enjoying it,” Green told the club's website, external.

Grimsby head coach David Artell added: “His performances this season warrant a new deal. I think anyone who has seen his progression in the last 12 months will testify that he always wants to improve, and he’s already got a couple of goals and assists which is a good return at this stage in the season.”
