Torquay United manager Paul Wotton says some of his side's attacking play was "electric" as they beat Slough Town 4-2 in National League South.
The win - Torquay's first in three matches - moves them up to fourth in the table.
Jordan Young fired Torquay ahead after eight minutes only for Wiktor Makowski to level for the visitors three minutes later.
But Louis Dennis restored the Gulls' advantage two minutes after the equaliser as he headed home.
John Goddard's own goal made it 3-1 14 minutes later before Cody Cooke's close-range finish soon after earned the Gulls a fourth goal.
Makowski made it 4-2 shortly before the break before a goalless second period.
"First half going forward we were electric - it could have been six, seven or eight," Wotton told BBC Radio Devon.
"The two goals we conceded were poor, but you're going in 4-2 and we've scored 18 goals this season, which is excellent.
"Second half we tweaked a couple of things and saw the game out and Slough never looked like scoring - James Hamon hasn't had a save to make in the second half.
"It's been a tough start to the season - that's our eighth game in 28 days, so we've had a game every three-and-a-half days with a threadbare squad and the boys have been magnificent."
