Genero Adran Trophy holders Cardiff knocked out after early red

The New Saints knocked out Cardiff City in the Genero Adran Trophy quarter-finals on Sunday in a meeting of the top two sides in the Adran Premier.
Defending champions Cardiff were reduced to 10 players when Mikayla Cook was sent off after just 13 minutes and then fell behind when Olivia Buckland converted Caitlin Chapman's inviting cross.
Cascade, the only second-tier side remaining in the competition, hosted last season's runners-up Swansea City but were soon behind when Emily Richards struck, before Stacey John-Davis doubled the lead. John-Davis stretched the lead in the second half with two goals to complete her hat-trick, before Jasmine Guymer also scored to round off a comfortable win.
Barry Town United and Wrexham were bidding for a place in the semi-finals for the first time when they met at Jenner Park, and Olivia Fuller gave Wrexham the lead on the stroke of half-time. Nat Clark doubled the visitors' lead early in the second half only for Ellie Preece to pull a goal back for Barry within five minutes. But Ava Suckley added a third Wrexham goal to seal victory.
Aberystwyth Town are aiming to reach the semi-finals for the fourth consecutive year but their game at Briton Ferry Llansawel was postponed due to the adverse weather conditions over the weekend.
