Birmingham City striker Jay Stansfield's injury does not appear to be as serious as first feared after the Blues received positive news from hospital tests.
The 22-year-old was taken off on a stretcher during the club's Vertu Trophy semi-final win over Bradford City on Tuesday, putting a dampener on a victory which booked a Wembley date on 13 April.
Stansfield, the club's 20-goal leading scorer this season as they chase promotion back to the Championship, was taken straight to hospital.
The club provided an update on Thursday, reporting that Stansfield sustained no bone or ligament damage but that he "will continue to be assessed by the club's medical staff in the coming days."
