Guernsey FC Women suffered their first defeat in English league football as they lost 6-2 at home to Farnham Town.

The loss to the Southern Region Women's Division One South leaders means the Green Lionesses drop to fourth in the table, five points off Farnham, who have won all six of their games.

The visitors got off to a fast start and were 3-0 up inside the opening 15 minutes at Victoria Park.

Emily Foss put them in front as she capitalised on a fourth-minute defensive error before Miya Adams scored twice in quick succession.

Farnham had a fourth goal ruled out for offside as they took a commanding lead into half-time.

Guernsey had a lifeline five minutes into the second period when Scarlett Kenneally spectacularly blasted into the top corner from 30 yards.

But Rachel Manley restored Farnham's three-goal buffer five minutes later before making it 5-1 with 16 minutes to go.

Guernsey's Rochelle Mullen headed in an 87th-minute corner to make it 5-2, but Francesca Thornton ensured a big win for Farnham with a sixth goal in stoppage time.
