Leyton Orient defender Jack Simpson has signed a new one-year deal.
Simpson, 28, has made 31 appearances for Orient since joining in February 2024 from Cardiff and will head into his second full season at the club after extending his contract until next summer.
The former Bournemouth and Rangers defender said: "It's been a special 18 months for me here. It feels like a proper family, and it feels like I am part of that family. I've really enjoyed my time here so far, every day coming in feels great."
Manager Richie Wellens, who led Orient to last season's League One play-off final, said: "Jack's a proper player, but he knows he needs to stay fit this season and get himself into the team."
He added: "When Jack was in the team last year, he looked really good. Defensively, he's so solid.
"It's now up to Jack to take the bull by the horns, and I'm always fair to the players, so whoever is training the best and performing the best on the pitch will take the shirt."
