Isle of Man beat Jersey to win inaugural inter-island cup

Isle of Man beat Jersey 4-3 on penalties to win the inaugural Cherry Godfrey Cup at St Helier's Springfield Stadium.
Sixteen-year-old Manx debutant Millie Dawson held her nerve to convert the winning spot-kick after Leah Morris and Emily Le Page had missed for Jersey.
The final of the four-team tournament that included Guernsey and the Isle of Wight ended 0-0.
Dawson had the best chance of the game when she hit the post five minutes before half-time.
Organisers aim to hold the event every two years with the tournament allowing island players to compete against one another on a more regular basis.
Currently their only regular tournament football is the biennial Island Games which will next be hosted by Orkney in 2025.
Guernsey finished last in the four-team event after a 6-2 thrashing by Isle of Wight in the third-place play-off.
Bella Ogier's goal in the fourth minute of first-half stoppage time saw Guernsey go into the interval 3-1 down.
But Isle of Wight scored three more times after the break before Elise Le Lacheur's consolation goal with five minutes to go.
It came after Jersey had gained revenge for May's Muratti Vase defeat to Guernsey with a 3-1 win over their Channel Island rivals in Friday's semi-final.
Roisin Flynn, Morris and Le Page were on target for the hosts in their victory, which came after Isle of Man had beaten Isle of Wight 5-2 in the first semi-final.
