The Scotland under-21 international joined the Swans in 2021, having graduated from Celtic's academy.
Abdulai made 31 appearances for the South Wales club, scoring two goals.
"I'm buzzing to join Leyton Orient at what feels like a really exciting time for the football club," he told the Orient website., external
"I want to take the next step in my career and I believe that this is the perfect place for me to do that."
Abdulai becomes Richie Wellens' second signing of the January window after Dilan Markanday moved to the club on loan from Blackburn Rovers last week.
