Ellis Taylor has signed a one-year contract extension at Harrogate Town after his successful debut campaign.

The 22-year-old winger led the way in terms of goal involvements for the Sulphurites last season, with 15 goals and assists, after being given an initial two-year deal following a trial.

Taylor had been released by Sunderland after making just five cup appearances for the Black Cats.

He has also begun this season well, with two goals in the first three games in the league and EFL Cup, and the new deal is intended to keep him at the club until the end of the 2026-27 season.
