Harrogate captain Falkingham sidelined

Josh Falkingham has made 10 appearances in all competitions for Harrogate this season

Harrogate Town captain Josh Falkingham has been ruled out for up to three months with a shin injury.

The 34-year-old midfielder will undergo surgery on the injury he picked up in last Saturday's 3-0 home defeat by AFC Wimbledon on Friday.

"He's not in a good way. It's a huge blow for us as a team and him personally," boss Simon Weaver told BBC Radio York.

"It's a complicated injury and that's why he's going to need surgery."
