Plymouth Argyle boss Miron Muslic says Muhamed Tijani will get a "massive boost" from scoring his first goal for the club.
The 24-year-old Nigerian has had a torrid time with injuries since moving to Home Park on loan in the summer.
The Slavia Prague forward made just his eighth appearance in the 1-1 draw with Cardiff City. His prior seven appearances have come from the bench.
His goal midway through the second half ensured a point as Argyle moved up to third from bottom of the Championship, three points off their Welsh opponents.
The draw came after a point at bottom-of-the-table Luton Town on Wednesday night as the Pilgrims' recent good form continued ahead of their FA Cup fifth round tie away at Manchester City on Saturday.
"I don't think it was an easy game for Muhamed after he entered Luton, he struggled there," Muslic told BBC Radio Devon.
"But you have to support the players in those kinds of moments because you saw then on the finish and also in some actions, the quality of this player.
"Players in a struggling situation can always count on our support and I'm very happy for Muhamed that he could score - and he's a striker, this will give him a massive boost."
A return to full fitness for Tijani would also boost Argyle with striker Ryan Hardie likely to be out for a couple of weeks.
The Scot, who scored the winning penalty in Argyle's historic 1-0 FA Cup victory over Liverpool, has been sidelined with a back injury.
"It was difficult for him... over four months injured. It's difficult then to come back to perform immediately," Muslic added.
"I think he gave us exactly the boost we needed."
