Crystal Palace are investigating allegations of racist abuse by supporters towards midfielder Daichi Kamada after he was sent off against Fulham on Saturday.

The Japan midfielder received a red card in the 76th minute for a reckless challenge on Fulham's Kenny Tete.

The Eagles were trailing 1-0 at the time before slumping to a 2-0 defeat after goals from Emile Smith Rowe and Harry Wilson.

"The club has a zero tolerance policy towards any form of abuse," Palace said.

"We will take the strongest possible action against anyone identified as the perpetrator."

The club did not specify which set of supporters were accused of the abuse.

As a result of the red card, Kamada will miss Palace's next three Premier League games against Aston Villa, Newcastle and Ipswich after the international break.
