Scotland international Rachel Corsie and England's Jordan Nobbs are among four players leaving Aston Villa at the end of the season.

Danielle Turner and Maz Pacheco will also depart when their contracts expire in June.

Defender Corsie, 35, joined the Women's Super League side from Kansas City Current in 2022 and has made 56 appearances in all competitions.

She has played professionally in Scotland, England, America and Australia, winning 17 trophies.

Injuries have restricted Corsie to just one appearance this season, off the bench against Arsenal on 30 April.

She was expected to be out for eight weeks after undergoing knee surgery in October but has suffered repeated setbacks following calf and hip problems.

Speaking on the BBC's Behind the Goals podcast, Corsie stated that during her injury layoff she questioned if she'd "ever run again" but said the "biggest factor" driving her recovery was a possible return to international duty with Scotland.

Despite her lack of playing time, she hopes to be named in the squad for Scotland's upcoming Women's Nations League matches against Austria (30 May) and Netherlands (3 June).

Midfielder Nobbs has scored seven goals in 67 Villa appearances since joining in 2023 after 12 years with Arsenal and broke the Women's Super League appearance record this season.

Full-back Pacheco is Villa's longest-serving player with 90 appearances for the club, while Turner has played 71 times since joining from Everton in 2022.

Aston Villa said they "would like to thank Rachel, Jordan, Dan and Maz for their service to the club and wish them all the best in their future careers".
