Leyton Orient have signed goalkeeper Killian Cahill on a free transfer from Brighton & Hove Albion.

The 21-year-old has agreed a two-year deal with the O's.

He has represented Brighton and the Republic of Ireland national team at U21 level.

Orient missed out on promotion to the Championship with defeat by London rivals Charlton Athletic at Wembley in the League One play-off final.

"We needed to add a couple of goalkeepers to our squad with Josh Keeley and Sam Howes departing, and Killian will add real competition to that department," head coach Richie Wellens told the club's website., external

"Killian is a long-term investment for the football club, and we are continuing with our recruitment process with the start of pre-season approaching us."
