Luton Town have signed former Portsmouth defender Cohen Bramall ahead of their League One opener against AFC Wimbledon.

The 29-year-old left Pompey in May after making 12 appearances in the Championship during the second half of the 2024-25 campaign.

He began his professional career at Arsenal and also had spells at Colchester United, Lincoln City and Rotherham United, the latter where he played 91 league games before leaving in January.

Bramall told the Luton club website, external: "I've missed out on pre-season with the squad, but I think I'll adapt really quick.

"I'm a fit lad and my game is built around being athletic and just being an engine, so I'm not too worried about my fitness."

Luton have not disclosed the length of Bramall's contract.

Luton manager Matt Bloomfield said, "Cohen's been a real solid performer at this level and above for a number of years now.

"He's very athletic, extremely quick and has a great left foot. He'll get up and down the flank and give us really good options in the wide left positions.

Bramall, who is comfortable at left-back and wing-back, becomes Luton's ninth signing of the summer.
