Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou lost his star striker Dominic Solanke after dropping points at Leicester on Monday but seemed happy and calm in front of the media on Friday.

The 58-year-old was left telling reporters it is a long season and that Solanke will have a long career at Spurs, praising his team's performance in the draw at Leicester despite a subpar second-half display after Jamie Vardy's equaliser.

There is a lot to be positive about at Tottenham after giving - until Vardy's goal - one of the best performances of any of the big, Europe-chasing teams last weekend.

"If we didn't play well I'd certainly be more concerned than playing well and not winning the game," the Australian said. "There are concerns on both aspects but certainly more concerns... because that’s harder to fix."

But he also continued to say midfielder Yves Bissouma is still building bridges after filming himself taking laughing gas on his social media pages.

Solanke is out of Saturday's match at home to Everton with an ankle injury and Rodrigo Bentancur "feels good" but continues to go through the concussion protocols after a collision of heads late on at King Power Stadium.

Yet, the mood remains positive at Spurs as Postecoglou also discusses the possible impact winger Wilson Odobert could make on his debut after joining in a £30m deal which effectively completes the club's summer business.
