Northern Ireland international Caragh Hamilton has joined Nottingham Forest on a one-year deal.
The 27-year-old spent the last season at Lewes and left the club after their relegation from the Championship.
“From the first conversations I had with everyone at the club I knew it was an exciting project to be a part of, and ultimately, in the end it was an easy decision to make to come here," Hamilton said.
“Professional football is something that I needed in order to keep pushing at international level and I know that this is the place where I can develop those parts of my game that I need to with the coaching and the high-performing environment here.”
Prior to moving to England, Hamilton played two stints with Women's Premiership side Glentoran in Northern Ireland after a spell in Iceland.
Hamilton has won 47 Northern Ireland caps and scored seven international goals.
She made history in February 2012 by becoming the youngest player to make a senior Northern Ireland appearance, aged just 15 years and 121 days.
As well as playing on the wing, where she has spent the majority of her career, Hamilton can also feature at right back.
Nottingham Forest play in the Northern Premier Division, the third tier of football in England.
