Arbroath part with McIntyre after poor start

Arbroath have parted company with manager Jim McIntyre with his side sitting bottom of Scottish League 1 following relegation last season.
The Angus club made a one-sentence announcement on their X account following Saturday's 3-0 home defeat by Kelty Hearts, saying: "Arbroath FC can this evening announce the departure of Jim McIntyre as manager."
The Red Lichties ended last season by losing 10 games in a row.
They have won just one of their seven games this season - a 1-0 win away to League 2 side Bonnyrigg Rose in a group-stage dead rubber.
And they have since taken just one point from their opening three league games.
Former Bristol City, Exeter City, Airdrieonians, Kilmarnock, Reading, Dundee United and Dunfermline Athletic striker McIntyre took charge in December after Dick Campbell resigned to end his seven years in charge with his side sitting second bottom of the Championship.
That came two seasons after the part-time side came close to promotion to the Premiership before finishing runners-up.
Former Dunfermline, Queen of the South, Ross County and Dundee manager McIntyre took charge nearly a year after the 52-year-old was sacked by Cove Rangers, who went on to be relegated from the Championship.
Kelty's win took the Fife side to the top of League 1 on goal difference from Queen of the South, who also leapfrogged visitors Annan Athletic after a 2-0 win in their local derby.
