Hull City forward Liam Miller is facing up to six weeks out with a hamstring injury.

Head coach Sergej Jakirovic confirmed that the Canada international could be out until December after sustaining the injury in last weekend's home draw with Charlton Athletic.

The news is a blow given Miller is only five games into a return following 11 months out with a anterior cruciate ligament injury.

"At least we have two weeks international break, which is good for us, but it is huge in terms of the impact to our team and it is very frustrating for him," Jakirovic told BBC Radio Humberside.

In hindsight, the Hull boss regretted bringing Miller on as a second-half substitute against Charlton.

"He played 90 minutes on Tuesday and got a [new] baby [on] Friday. I think he is emotionally exhausted. He didn't sleep so good," Jakirovic said.

"If I knew that he didn't sleep so much I would never have sent him on the pitch, but what can we do now?"
