Norwich City striker Ante Crnac believes he is now showing supporters what he is capable of following three goals in their last two matches.

The young Croat netted the final goal in their 6-1 thrashing of Plymouth Argyle and added a double as they beat Luton Town 4-2 at Carrow Road on Saturday.

The 20-year-old attracted some criticism from fans after scoring only once in his first 15 games for the Canaries, initially from a wider role in Norwich's attack, and then more centrally following an injury to USA international Josh Sargent.

"It was tough when I came at the beginning, a tough couple of months, but now I'm feeling better, feeling relief," he told BBC Radio Norfolk.

"Every position you play, you try to give your best, and strikers need to score goals."

Crnac was given a four-year contract, with an option for a further 12 months, when he arrived from Polish club Rakow Czestochowa in the summer, a clear indication of the club's belief in his ability.

The Croatia Under-21 international insisted that the physical demands of the Championship had not been the reason for his slow start in terms of goals.

"I was one year in Poland without my family and now it's everything new again. I'm not used to it, but I keep going day by day and keep working," he said.

"I was physically ready, in Poland it was also a hard season and then we played Europa League, every three, four days (there was) a match.

"Everybody helps me a lot, Borja (Sainz) and the older guys Kenny (McLean), Shane (Duffy), all the coaches are good."

He could have had a hat-trick against Luton but instead opted to lay the ball off to Emiliano Marcondes, who made it 3-2 before Borja Sainz added the clincher.

Crnac said: "I wanted to shoot but he called me, I felt he was in a better position and of course I pass him the ball. The most important thing is the result, the win, and the team."

Norwich are ninth in the table, five points outside the play-off places, but their total of 35 goals is four more than any other team in the division.

"It's been a great week, we've played some great football. We know what we can do. Sometimes we make mistakes, but that's OK, we are here for each other.

"We have (the) highest goals, we will keep pushing match by match," he added.

Norwich begin a run of six matches this month with back-to-back away games against QPR and Portsmouth, the Championship's bottom two, with three of the remaining four at home.
