West Bromwich Albion's all-time leading goalscorer Tony 'Bomber' Brown said he sees similarities between himself and in-form Baggies attacking midfielder Isaac Price.
The 21-year-old scored the only goal in the club's Championship opener against Blackburn Rovers, and struck twice in Saturday's 3-2 victory at Wrexham.
Price's performance drew praise from Brown, who scored 279 times in 17 years for West Brom.
"He's a good technical player," Brown, 79, told BBC Radio WM. "He finds holes, spaces, and he plays just behind the front man.
"He plays the kind of game that I used to play - waiting for gaps to appear and scoring goals. And he's got that ability to bend the ball, to manipulate the ball."
After moving to the Hawthorns in January from Belgian side Standard Liege, Price scored once in 15 appearances last season.
But the Northern Ireland international's early season burst has made him the division's leading scorer.
Brown said: "It's been said a few times over the last few weeks that he's going to be a top player, and so far, at the start of the season, it looks that way."
