Notts County forward Alassana Jatta is out of Saturday's League Two fixture against Bromley because of a back injury, after missing the first five games of the season through suspension.

The 26-year-old was sent off in last season's play-off semi-final first leg defeat by AFC Wimbledon in May, meaning he missed the returning leg and the first four matches of this season.

Now, Jatta's start to the season has been further delayed after reporting a back spasm to the club's medical team

He was also unavailable for Notts' pre-season trip to Germany after the club failed to obtain a visa for the Gambia international.

"We were excited for AJ to be back but, unfortunately, he has reported a back spasm so he won't be fit for the game," Magpies boss Martin Paterson told BBC Radio Nottingham.

"I was in high hopes for the big man to be back but he won't be in the squad.

"We have to respect the medical experts, and if the players report things, we have to respect it."
