Burton Albion midfielder Charlie Webster said set-pieces could be key to pulling the Brewers clear of the relegation struggle at the foot of League One.
Gary Bowyer's side sit two points clear of the drop zone after winning three of their past five league outings, including a 1-0 win over AFC Wimbledon last weekend delivered by Alex Hartridge's headed goal from a free-kick.
And Webster admitted manager Bowyer is hammering home the value of their set-piece threat and working the squad hard in training in order to make the best of any opportunities.
"They can make the difference and we are a really dangerous team from set-pieces," Webster told BBC Radio Derby.
"We get a lot of first contacts and we are a big side, so it can be a real threat.
"We will keep working on it, but it showed the work we are doing on them, and that was really positive to see."
Burton take on seventh-tier side St Albans City in the first round of the FA Cup on Saturday, before returning to league action at Rotherham United on 4 November.
