Plymouth defender Matthew Sorinola has been ruled out of the remainder of the Championship season with a thigh injury.

The 24-year-old wing-back played the full 90 minutes at Swansea in midweek but picked up a quadriceps injury.

Captain Joe Edwards is fit after a hamstring injury and is in line to replace Sorinola against promotion chasers Sheffield United on Saturday (12:30 BST).

Manager Miron Muslic said: "Joe can and will give us definitely some options.

"Let's just see if it fits as a starter, to start the game strong, but also as a game changer to finish strong because I think we will need both, a good start and a strong finish."

Another defender Nikola Katic will miss the visit of the Blades with a hamstring injury but Muslic says he will play again this season.

The Pilgrims are bottom of the Championship, five points from safety with five games to go.
