Swindon have yet to win in the league since Ian Holloway took over as manager

Swindon Town are one of the three teams "in trouble" in League Two said manager Ian Holloway ahead of their game against bottom-of-the-table Morecambe.

The Robins are 22nd after 16 games this season, three points above the Shrimpers who visit the County Ground on Saturday.

Swindon have yet to win in the league since Ian Holloway was appointed as manager, with their last league victory on 12 October.

"There's three teams down there in trouble is the way I'm looking at it and we're one of them," Holloway told BBC Radio Wiltshire.

"If we can take three points off one of the other ones and keep them away from us, and actually move six points away from them, in an ideal world I'd rip you arm off right now for that because it will make the rest of it a lot easier."

Holloway, who is closing in on 1,000 games in English football management, has overseen a defeat by MK Dons and draw with Accrington Stanley in his two league games.

He said he had started to see an upturn in how the team has been playing and they need to reframe their mindset to a positive one rather than negative.

"Changing that momentum, turning it around - whatever we were doing before, however we felt about ourselves before, should be feeling different now," Holloway added.

"Let's not go back there, let's drag ourselves out of there and keep looking up and keep marching up.

"We haven't done it yet but I feel there's a big difference and the points need to start showing that."

The 61-year-old has made a number of changes to the starting XI for both of their last two games, and said he will continue to do so while they search for a win as he gets to know the squad.

"If we can win it will be a joy to pick the same team again, I'm trying to look for who's working well, who's doing better," he said.

"But I'm also looking at the strengths of the other team at the minute to give the lads an opportunity."
