Derek Adams has been banned from the touchline for one match and fined £500 after being charged with misconduct by the Football Association.

The Morecambe manager was sent off for a second yellow card offence in the opening 22 minutes of the 3-3 draw with Colchester United on September 14.

Shrimps defender Luke Hendrie was also later dismissed as they came from 3-1 down with seven minutes left to pick up their first league point of the season.

Adams was seen clashing with the fourth official and admitted a charge that he "had acted in an improper manner and/or confrontational manner towards the match officials."

Adams will serve the ban at Fleetwood on Monday as Morecambe seek to climb off bottom spot in League Two.
