Northern Ireland defender Sarah McFadden has announced that she is pregnant with her second child.

The 37-year-old made her Northern Ireland debut in 2005 and played a key role in Northern Ireland's historic qualification for the Euro 2022 finals.

With her husband, Damian, their first child Harper was a mascot on McFadden's 100th appearance for Northern Ireland in September 2023 against Albania in Belfast.

McFadden has been with Championship side Durham since 2017 and is set to sit out the remainder of the season.

"Baby Robson number two debuting as a mascot in April," McFadden posted on social media.

"Everyone at the club is delighted for Sarah and Damian," Durham posted on X, formerly Twitter.

"Another member of the Blue Army incoming".
