Portsmouth striker Colby Bishop has said he is "extremely confident" his side will stay in the Championship this season.
The Blues picked up another crucial three points on Tuesday night with a 2-1 victory over Cardiff at Fratton Park which moved them up to 18th, four points clear of the league's bottom three.
Bishop scored on the night to bring up the milestone of 50 goals for the club.
"I'm very confident that we can stay up," Bishop told BBC Radio Solent.
"I'm extremely confident in fact, especially now I feel the team is shaping up a bit better. The new lads that came on looked really sharp and look as if they'll cause problems.
"I feel like we're in a really strong place and I think we'll get that away win and then we're going to go on and keep doing it."
Portsmouth's record at home has given them a fighting chance of staying up this season.
They have only won on the road once, while at Fratton Park seven wins have given them hope of remaining above the drop zone.
Bishop signed for Portsmouth from Accrington Stanley in the summer of 2022, on a three-year contract.
That deal expires this summer, and speculation has started to build regarding his future.
"I love this place," Bishop added.
"My family love living here and I'm always open to staying here for the rest of my career if that's a possibility.
"But we'll have to see. It's for other people to decide and I just have to concentrate on the pitch. We're in a relegation scrap and I have to concentrate on playing football."
Portsmouth next travel to Oxford United on Saturday, who were also promoted from League One last season, and are five points above them in the table.
