Barrow defender Charlie Raglan says there is "a lot more to give" from his side despite a strong unbeaten run.
The Bluebirds have the best current run in League Two, standing at six games with three wins and three draws.
But those results have only moved them up to 15th following a poor start and ahead of a home game with Grimsby Town on Saturday (15:00 GMT).
"It's still fine margins but you can always look at it and see where you can improve," Raglan told BBC Radio Cumbria.
The 32-year-old joined from Oldham Athletic in the close season as part of a big overhaul of Barrow's squad.
It has taken a lot of rejigging for head coach Andy Whing, but that is why Raglan believes they can keep climbing the table, having started with six defeats in eight games.
"It wasn't just a hard luck story," he said. "We needed to get better.
"Fortunately we've got ourselves going a little bit, but we've still got a lot more to give."
