Etete signs new Cardiff deal and joins Bolton on loan

Kion Etete has signed a new contract with Cardiff City and joined League One side Bolton Wanderers on loan for the rest of this season.
Etete, who has made only one appearance for the Bluebirds this season because of a hamstring injury, has agreed a two-year extension that runs until 2027.
The 23-year-old's chances of playing regularly in the Championship are remote with Cardiff's top scorer this season Callum Robinson and new signing Yousef Salech among those ahead of him in the pecking order.
Etete has struggled to nail down a regular starting spot at Cardiff since joining from Tottenham for around £500,000 in 2022.
Bolton, who sacked manager Ian Evatt last week, are seventh in League One.
