Republic of Ireland have lost 2-1 to Armenia in the second match of their 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign.

In the first half, Evan Ferguson and Jack Taylor went close for the visitors while the hosts hit the bar, before Eduard Sptersyan broke the deadlock in stoppage time from the penalty spot.

Grant-Leon Ranos extended the advantage after the break, then Evan Ferguson pulled one back.
