Inverness Caledonian Thistle have accepted an offer for a majority shareholding from an English firm and are "confident their investment will secure the future of the club".

Seventy7 Ventures are a sports, entertainment and leisure group registered in Windsor.

"We are relishing the opportunity to drive sustainability and growth in the club and lead them to future prosperity," said Seventy7 Ventures chief executive Ketan Makwana.

A statement from Caley Thistle, relegated to League 1 last season, states the offer was "unanimously accepted by the board".

More details of the arrangement are promised once the deal has been completed.

In May, the club announced plans to move their training base to Kelty in Fife in a bid to cut costs.

Having met with an angry backlash from supporters, the decision was swiftly scrapped, with chairman Ross Morrison resigning.

The 2015 Scottish Cup winners had also revealed they were preparing to go into administration should they fail to find fresh investment.
