The Football Association of Wales (FAW) has opened a "major extension" to its Hensol headquarters following a £3m investment into improving its facilities.
In conjunction with some funding from the Welsh Government, the FAW has used the cash injection to extend the gym used by Wales' national teams while creating increased space for analysis and sports science requirements.
A changing facility for coaches and a new 'boots on' area form part of the new wing as the governing body states its desire to develop a "high-performance environment for the Cymru national teams and the wider association".
The national sides will also benefit from a new lecture theatre - called the Wynnstay 1876, a nod to the FAW's history and heritage - which will host team meetings and media sessions on the grounds that have been the FAW's permanent home since 2020.
FAW chief executive officer Noel Mooney said: "We're very excited to open the new wing at the Hensol headquarters, further investing into the Cymru national teams and the wider association.
"It's vitally important that our national teams and staff have the best possible facilities to enable us to reach our full potential, both nationally and on the world stage."
The facilities will be in full use for the first time during the upcoming men's international camp where Craig Bellamy's side take on Kazakhstan in a World Cup qualifier on Thursday, 4 September (15:00 BST) before facing Canada in a friendly five days later (19:45 BST).
