Swindon fans plan peaceful protest against ownership

A Swindon Town supporters group has said it is planning a series of "peaceful" protests and "will not rest" until owner Clem Morfuni decides to sell the club.
It is not the first time Swindon fans have vented their feelings towards Morfuni, with a different fans group saying it had "lost confidence and trust" in the leadership back in May.
The Robins currently sit level on points with the bottom two in League Two and are a month into the new management of Ian Holloway, having sacked former boss Mark Kennedy after just five months at the helm.
"Clem Morfuni has consistently proven over the last three years that he is not capable of running our football club," thespiritof69 group said in an online post.
"We will not rest until he publicly invites interests of acquisition from those who may be.
"Today we are committing to a programme of online and offline action to create noise and pressure on the ownership and are working hard behind the scenes ahead of our first day of action against Grimsby on December 21st."
The group stress that their protests will be "peaceful, non obstructive and outside the 90 minutes" of the game.
Swindon are 22nd in League Two and have won just two league games this season, drawing seven and losing eight.
The BBC has contacted the club for comment.
Head of football Russell departs
Meanwhile, Swindon head of football Jamie Russell has left the club with immediate effect.
Russell joined Swindon in 2021 and was initially in charge of the club's academy before being appointed head of football in July 2021.
A statement from Morfuni said Russell had been "pivotal" in driving the growth of the club's academy, with 18 players going on to make their first-team debut since he arrived.
"Since transitioning to become our head of football, Jamie has continued to show determination and passion for our club, in all teams and we are grateful for his contributions," Morfuni said.
