Max Watters and Ivan Dolcek have joined Dundee United on season-long loans.

English forward, 26, joins from Barnsley while left-sided Croatian Dolcek, 25, who can operate at full-back or on the wing, arrives from Dunajska Streda with an option to buy.

"Max is a player whom we identified as one of our top targets for the summer window and our patience has paid off," said boss Jim Goodwin. "He'll bring a completely different dynamic to our frontline. Max has a natural goalscoring instinct and hunger to succeed.

"A fearless ball carrier, Ivan's immense technical ability combined with a first-class delivery into the area make him a constant threat on either flank. He's a really exciting addition."

Watters has scored 57 goals in 219 appearances across spells with 11 clubs.

Dolcek previously play for Slaven Belupo and Hajduk Split and has been capped up to under-23 level.

They follow Amar Fatah, Krisztian Keresztes, Dario Naamo and Isaac Pappoe in joining United on loan this summer, while Panutche Camara, Bert Esselink, Iurie Iovu, Yevhen Kucherenko and Zac Sapsford have arrived on permanent deals.
