Lincoln forward Makama signs new three-year deal

Lincoln City forward Jovon Makama has signed a new three-year deal with the League One club, which runs until the summer of 2027.
The 20-year-old has featured 63 times for the Imps since making his debut in 2022, with a majority of those appearances coming off the bench.
He has started eight of Lincoln's nine League One games this season, and scored twice in all competitions this term.
Makama, who played for Nottingham Forest and Derby County at junior level before joining Lincoln's youth set-up, made his first league start for the Imps in manager Michael Skubala's first home match in charge last November.
"This time last year I was just getting my first few starts in League One," Makama told BBC Radio Lincolnshire.
"And being the only striker available, I found it very difficult. But having Michael Skubala's support and other staff members' support as well, has definitely helped a lot."
Makama says he feels he "has come a long way" in his time with Lincoln and says Skubala, who was Leeds United Under-21 boss before taking the Imps job, has "pushed" him.
"It's good to know somebody is there to support you, has faith in you and wants to see you do the best," he said.
"You can definitely see the impact he’s had on me from this time last year to now. It's been really good and hopefully it can progress and get even more out of me."
