There were some big scorelines as most Adran Premier sides booked their place in the second round of the women's Bute Energy Welsh Cup.

Holders Cardiff City had to come from behind to beat Penclawdd at Parc Dan y Graig.

A double from Alex Davies had put the hosts 2-1 ahead, but the Bluebirds recovered to win 6-2.

Elsewhere Wrexham registered nine goal scorers in their emphatic 11-0 win over third tier CPDM Llanystumdwy, while Aberystwyth Town ran out 8-0 winners against CPD Y Rhyl 1879.

Two goals each from Emily Ridge and Chantelle Teare helped The New Saints to a 6-0 win over CPD Pwllheli, while Barry Town got the better of Cardiff Met in an all Adran Premier tie, with Keira Harris netting two of the goals in their 5-0 win.

Current league leaders Briton Ferry Llansawel’s game against Taffs Well was postponed, as was Swansea City Women’s trip to Talycopa AFC.
